5cl Rye Whiskey (Old Overholt), 5cl Dubonnet Rouge, 0,7cl Cointreau, 1 dash The Bitter Truth Aromatic Bitters, 1 piece lemon peel, 2 pieces orange peel

Shake all ingredients with ice and fine strain into a chilled small Cocktail glass;

garnish with a flamed orange peel.

The Deshler Cocktail isn't in the Savoy Cocktail Book nor is it in McElhone. It is, however, in the 1934 edition of Patrick Gavin Duffy's "Official Mixer's Manual".
